Testimonials

A medley of peoples thoughts, reactions, feelings and some letters people have sent out….

  • I’ve got to say, that writing the letters was pretty damn heart-opening, but then leaving them for people to find is totally euphoric and exhilarating – it gave me the biggest high! I am so proud to be part of this movement – Naintara
  • Love letter written by Ama -”Although there may be days when things don’t go your way, when you are not inspired or lack inspiration and direction, know that the love inside you will guide you on the path to your bliss. You are unique and precious and a gift to all around you. Love all your experiences each day. We are all connected in the magical dance of life. I love you. An anonymous well-wisher.”
  • I have posted two love letters already, one time I was on the tube and watching people look at the letter as they got on, I kept willing somebody to open it! It actually feels really good to do, I recommend it y’all! – A-Nathan
  • Love the new Global Love Letters Page. I’m looking forward to seeing this brilliant movement just grow and grow. It feels great to be part of such a heart centred project and I loved writing my love letter yesterday…and leaving it on the train on my way home. I hope that the stranger who picked the letter up enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Much love ♥ ♥ ♥

  • Don’t know why but this idea really excites me! I’ve finished writing my letter…writing it really does make you feel good! I’m on my way to my mum and dads now so I think I’m gonna leave it on the bus! :)
  • breath takingly beautiful as well as brilliant. Thanks for the inspiration. Namaste.
  • I love your page, this is a revolution!! Lets spread the love over this beautiful world!!! Thank you ever so much, I am eternally grateful for you. I love you x

  • I just got back from spending the weekend in Tennessee and even in the back woods of the mountains there I found true indigo kids… ones who practice ONE LOVE for fellow man & nature compassion and kindness.. not much access to internet and had no idea about this movement so I told them and now it has taken off even where technology doesn’t reach well… spreading the LOVE Shelia ♥

  • Just writing out 10 letters now and getting super excited for the dropping to begin. Off to Bangkok, London and Paris this month so hopefully the language of love will transcend the other language barriers! April 2012

Please read comments below and leave a comment to keep the movement alive. Tell your friends, this is a pay it forward movement, the more we unite the more it spreads global.

I recently interviewed an inspiring gentleman, Simon Paul Sutton about global love letters ... If you didn't catch the interview ... check it out on youtube.... The principle of global love letters is to write an anonymous love letter and leave it somewhere for someone to find ... well ... this might not be anonymous but it's my love letter to you all ... Dear people of the world,  Embrace yourself and others around you. You're not alone. We're all brothers and sisters in this together. We're on this journey called life; coming from somewhere and yet heading who knows where. We all face daily struggles, some face more than others but it doesn't mean anyone has an easy ride.  Illness comes to us all. Death comes to us all. Happiness and unhappiness come to us all and whenever you feel sad, I feel sad and as the tears fall from your face, they land on mine like little drops of rain on a summer's night.  If we knew and understood one another, truly knew one another, we would learn to respect each other without the need to kill one another. If we learned to share, we wouldn't need to fight over this or that. When we work together we can find ways to provide enough for all of us. We all live on this planet called earth - our home. We share the same air, the same light, the same darkness. Unless we look after our home we'll have nothing to leave future generations. I know that like me you care and this is why I love you because I see you reflected in me and I see myself reflected in you.  I want you to know that I value you. I appreciate every little good thing that you do. I appreciate who you are, what you've achieved and how far you've come along the path. I love you for being you and most of all I love you because, just like me, you're a pure, radiant, spiritual being of light having an amazing experience as a human being. You are perfect as you are and I love you!

I got off work and found one of these letters waiting in my car (my window is broken so it's partially cracked). I live in Arvada, CO and work at the wal-mart here. It opened my heart so wide I cried for 5 minutes. My husband and I have been working ourselves to the bone to save money to move to Florida with hopes of buying some land and starting a self-sufficient farm but with doubts we could do it. I got home and immediately went to the website and started cruising. There's a video about permaculture farming on the site. I knew it had to exist but I didn't know the name for it. I've spent my every waking second doing all of the research I can. This one random letter opened my heart and that lead me to exactly what I needed. All of my hopes and dreams are doable. It led me to my fate, to what I wanted out of life. It basically said "Tamsin stop doubting yourself, you can do this" Everytime I plan the farm and the move I just want to hug whoever did this, whoever left this letter for me so bad and say "THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU TOO!" So if you read this, if you do happen to get this, I love you too and my husband and I are leaving letters all over the place. And my dreams will come true because of you. @burglartobuddha

I wrote a letter whilst out in my local bingo hall, put it in the envelope and sealed it. I then walked about a little while and put it casually on a table, near mine and sat back down waiting to see what the reaction would be...I waited a while as the 2 ladies sat at the table looked rather puzzled, looking at the envelope and wondering if someone had left it there in error. They did eventually open it... and I saw the first lady read it and look to the other and they both hugged each other and smiled. The other lady read it and it looked like she was crying... she gave the first lady a hug too! Then they were talking and looked like giggling to each other, maybe trying to work out who left it there! She put it in her handbag and had a massive smile on her face!I was unsure how this was going to be taken, but really thrilled with the outcome and I think I have now built up enough courage to maybe write another to drop randomly! :) It brought such a warm feeling to me knowing I made some one else happy.

I am so totally stoked! my day was made yet again!! So here I was out and about waiting for the bus. I had my clown nose on, my music, and my smile sign dancing my little heart out, when a young man came up to me. He looks at me and says, "I have been looking for you for days, for months actually. And have tried to catch you here and there. I was riding my skate board one day when you handed me a letter (referring to a love letter) as I rode by... I still have it and I have been wanting to thank you! It made my day, I am going to keep that letter forever! Thank you." He went and shook my hand and I offered a hug. I gave him a great big hug. He thanked me again as we parted. My heart just sang with glee, and I haven't stopped smiling since ;)

I love this sooo much.....our family has started writing anonymous love letters to strangers. I wrote a long letter full of love and I then picked my son, Charlie,5, up from school and read it to him, and said now I want you to listen to your heart voice and as we are driving along, yell stop when you think its the right house to drop it to....he was soo cute, he placed his hand on his heart and we drove for a while and all of a sudden he yelled "STOP!!! Its that house there with the blue roof" and he jumped out and put it in their letterbox, was a house that looked like it needed love and i just know it will be so appreciated. he then said, mum lets go home and do another one, so we are right now!! Yay for kindness! Love flowing today!! Thanks for the inspiration!! Seona www.facebook,com/YouCentre

I meant to tell you...I left a Love Letter on a step last Thursday and when I walked by later it was still there. I felt a bit disheartened and I put it somewhere else, more noticable. Again later it was still there...so I said 'Last time' and I moved it again. It was wet and windy so I knew there probably werent many people on that path that day. Anyway I was busy Friday and all weekend but on Monday, when I was walking to work...quess what?! My own Love Letter blew up the hill towards me, I recognised the orange paper...it blew right up to my feet. I was thinking 'There is no way that is what I think it is...', BUT yes, it was! That love letter was written by me and meant for me. How very sweet of my inner self :D ♥

I must share! I had gone on a delivery outing and need to stop and use the restroom. When I got there they were cleaning and the maintenance cart was left outside the door. I decided what a perfect spot. I was going to get a snap shot of the letter when the maintenance person came out and allowed me to go in and use the restroom. I did notice that they had noticed they letter on the cart. I went in and could hear them discuss the letter with another employee. They were baffled, thought it was strange, yet were pleased. As I came out of the bathroom, they stared at me quizzically, I just smiled, said thanks and went on my merry way but boy oh boy it was such a thrill to hear the response!

@EdCrouser Wow great story Ed!  have been in situations where people have looked at me wondering if I am the writer of the letter.  I actually use my very best poker face and just look blank! LOL and so they can't suspect me at all.  LOL Its fun! :)

This is just beautiful, I have left a few letters around Melbourne, Australia and I will keep doing it as often as I can. It is so inspiring, uplifting and it fills my heart with love and really makes my whole day - just by writing a simple statement of love! Isn't it wonderful?! I'm going to keep spreading th love and keep believing that it's not too late for us to create a loving, caring world by bringing out the beingness of others and by being the change. Love and peace to you all <3

Through a series of serendipitous events I found out about this movement earlier today.  I cried several times as I watched the videos and read peoples testimonials.  This is just so beautiful!  i haven't been this excited about something in a while.  I ran out to pick up some stationary this afternoon and got started!  I've just written my first two love letters and can't wait to post them later this evening when I go out to a movie.  I'd love to make this a daily practice along with my meditation and other processes.  There is only an up-side with an exercise like this...everybody wins...everybody benefits...and it is just such a simple and sincere act of grace.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Carrie,

when I first discovered this it was 12 at night one night last summer.  I was soooooo excited as well, yet frustrated I had to wait until the morning to get paper and envelopes.  I felt like it was Christmas eve, waiting until Christmas morning! LOL  I hope you enjoy doing this as much as I do! :)

Well today was my first day of doing this. When I found this site last night I was sooooooooooooo excited I could hardly wait to get up and try it. I had to go buy some envelopes and paper. I felt like a happy spy putting them all over the place. I did 21 of them, and its true it felt like was I not only writing them for others but I was writing them to myself. It felt like these were word from Spirit talking to me and through me. How fun!!! I hope they make someone's day! :))

@simononthesofa  @AriannaSummers Hi Simon had the most fun today.  I put a love letter between 2 pieces of wood on the beach.  I did a long long walk then walked back and could see it was gone.  Then...I saw 2 women sitting on the sea wall ledge opening it.  I sat right in front of them on a bench using my most disinterested poker face and watched them open and read it.  They were both thrilled and hugged each other and kept saying how nice it was!!!  Then I heard one of them say "this was on the news!" There's a woman in Toronto who is also doing this and so I guess she was on the news talking about it.  They walked away so happy, so thrilled it totally made my day, and little did they know, the author was sitting right in front them watching and listening to them open it.  How funny is that???? LOL

@simononthesofa also want to add, I am going to looking for a job writing for a magazine or newspaper and I am going to write about my experience doing this, so I will be mentioning your site here and the whole experience of writing global love letters.  That is going to be my demo article that I am going to give to magazines as way of getting job writing for them.  And this will introduce them to your site and movement.  Really we should find a way to tell Ellen Degeneres and also Oprah about this!  I will am going to put something on their sites about you, we'll see what happens, but I know this is the kind of thing both of them would love!!!

A few months ago I had one of the most hectic days I have ever had. I had people shouting at each other through me, people waiting for me to sort a problem out so they could go home from work, and a guy using the excuse that he carried severed limbs up from the underground on 7/7 in an argument with me. And it was actually relevant! I don't ever remember being more stressed and in need of love ever before. I got on the bus and moved an envelope saying 'For you' out of the way. I actually kinda knew what it was- did the paperwork I needed to do and then opened it. It was so perfectly timed and beautiful that it made me cry. I showed everyone. Then on Sunday I bumped into my lovely friend Gemma and she told me something I never thought I'd know- who wrote it! It's difficult to put the appreciation into words so I'm not going to try. You can imagine. :-) x
