Celebrating “Life Vest Inside” | The global kindness movement
At Global Love Letters, we’re constantly moved by stories that celebrate the power of human connection – and few do this as beautifully as Life Vest Inside (LVI). Founded in New York by Orly Wahba in 2011, Life Vest Inside has been on a mission to spark kindness through everyday actions and compelling storytelling.
Life Vest Inside is a global kindness organisation that reminds us how even the smallest act of compassion can send ripples of hope across the planet. Whether it’s through their Dance for Kindness, Kindness Curriculum, or countless community initiatives like Project Hope Exchange, they’re showing what it truly means to live with an open heart.
Their mission aligns beautifully with ours. Like our handwritten #GLOBALLOVELETTERS, their efforts speak directly to the soul — reminding us that we are all connected, that we all matter, and that kindness is never wasted.
Just like Global Love Letters, Life Vest Inside believes in the potency of heartfelt, human-sized stories – whether spoken, danced, or handwritten. We both believe that: Connection matters. Kindness is contagious. Collective empathy changes the world.
One of Life Vest Inside’s most powerful creations is the “Kindness Boomerang” video – a short film that tracks kindness spreading through strangers, and ultimately returning to its origin. Watch how one random act of compassion blooms into a full circle of hope and humanity:
We’re inspired by how Life Vest Inside champions everyday heroes and encourages people of all ages to step into love over fear, connection over division. It’s a movement rooted in action, just like ours — and we’re grateful to walk alongside them in building a more compassionate world.
To Orly and everyone at Life Vest Inside: thank you for all you do. Your work uplifts, educates, and unites. We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re honoured to be part of the same global mission to write love into the world.
